What is a Sister Keeper?

Eagles’ Crest Fellowship – August 27-28

1. One that keeps secrets

Her secrets have been kept confidential, private, under lock and key only her and her God know (Daniel 2: 28).  A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter. (Proverbs 11:13)

2. One that Keeps her sister on track
The enemy’s job is to keep us distracted. If he can keep her worried about finances, health and family issues she won’t be able to focus on kingdom building.  Paul said, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith, henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness… shall give me… And not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.  (II Timothy 4:7-8)

3. One that keeps her sister’s mind intact
The devil is after our mind. We’ve often heard it said, “the mind is the battlefield”. The battlefield is often chaotic.  Remind her and yourself that we are made in the image of God.  The Word states, “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 2:5).

4. One that keeps her sister lifted up in prayer
Confess your faults one to another and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much (James 5:16).  Pray for a hedge of protection around her and her family. If theenemy can attack her family she will be distracted from her God given assignment. Pray that she would be covered by the blood, so the enemy won’t be able to get a grip on her. Pray that she will not self-destruct (sabotaging her own success).
