David Ross’ response on Obama’s re-election

Message from David Ross the day after Obama’s re-election:

God Morning my friends.

To some of us it may seem today that the world has come to an end, that God has closed up the portals of heaven.  But we must remember that God is the one who is in control and God sets in authority those who He wishes to do His will.

1 Timothy 2:1-4 says
1  I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

The apostle Paul wrote these words from a Roman prison cell where he had been cast for preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ by the Jewess elders in Jerusalem and by the ruler of Rome.

Dare we to do less than our brother Paul.

The Bible tells us that in the last days men will turn their hearts to wickedness, but we are to look up for His coming is near.  Rather than be down in despair let us look to the one who is in authority over all He who is King of Kings and Lord of Lords, our God and Saviour Jesus Christ. Remember:

2 Peter 3:9 says
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us–ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

If God could turn the heart of the wicked King Nebuchadnezzar, in the book of Daniel, to serve him and lift the servitude of the children of Israel then he can turn the heart of Obama to seek  and to serve Him.  If God could turn the heart of Saul of Tarsus, from slaying and throwing into prison the early Christians, and change his heart to become the greatest of all the apostles then He can change the heart of the president of the United States.

The question of the hour is; will we turn our hearts to God and pray for those in authority and for all to come to repentance.

Luke 21:28  says
And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

LIFT UP YOUR HEADS, and be the light that Jesus has called us all to be.
