This Week is Celebrating
Children’s Super Sunday!
Children’s Pastor Lavoe Hartley has planned an exciting day this week for children, especially the children in our neighborhood! Volunteers, “Thank You!” Thank you Pastor Lavoe for your passion and heart for our children! Thank you for your creativity and leadership. Your Pastor and your ECF family honors you and values you!
Sermon Series: This Sunday we will continue with the sermon series “The Promise.” The purpose and desired outcome of this series is: 1) for the new and immature believer – is to introduce them to the Person, the purpose, the personal relationship and power of the Holy Spirit. 2) For the mature believer –to provoke them to be encouraged by practice and example, encourage the new and immature believer into a “Spirit-filled” life / lifestyle! Next weeks sermon is entitled “The Promises of the Promise.” Let’s soar as we explore, “The Promise!”
Baptismal Service: Following this weeks service we are going baptize some of our new converts! We are excited about these new Christians being birthed into the Kingdom of God. They are following Jesus Christ in water baptism by making an “outward” profession of an “inward” transformation. To all of you being baptized – your ECF family celebrates you and your decision to be baptized! AMEN!!!
Fatherlessness is no secret at ECF and we are being proactive about it. We know that if you are an 18 year old make in America – you are a father figure to someone. Fatherlessness did not happen overnight and will not be corrected overnight – but it is now our time of opportunity to begin to correct this blight. We are going to continue to focus on our 1 Square Mile (1SM) with emphasis on discipleship. I encourage you to you to be faithful in your monthly faith commitments in supporting Pastor Phil Larson!
