Dorathy ArterburnMarch 1, 1924 – Feb. 15, 2016 – Dorothy Katherine Follman Arterburn, 91, of Oklahoma City, OK, went home to be with her Heavenly Father Monday, Feb. 15, 2016. Dorothy was born in Hamburg, New York, but called Oklahoma City her home. She is preceded in death by her parents, her twin sister and 6 other siblings and her husband. Dorothy is survived by her two daughters Paula Apgar and spouse David; Doris Medrano and spouse Wayne. Also 4 grandchildren Mathew Medrano, Katherine Apgar, Jennifer Medrano Howell and spouse Seth, and Amanda Apgar. Dorothy also has many “adopted” family members including nieces, nephews, children and grandchildren too numerous to mention – you know who you are. After retiring from Safeway/Homeland, Dorothy went on to volunteer in the public schools for more than 15 years. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, at 2:00 pm at Eagle Crest Fellowship, 5956 NW 23 Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73127. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation to your local school – either time or money as Dorothy believed nothing was more precious than the children.
